GSC SCR appointed for ferry on fire off Mallorca, Spain
MV SORRENTO
Whilst on the way from the port of Palma de Mallorca to Valencia, a fire broke out on board. The ferry was carrying 170 people whom all had to be evacuated. Salvors SVITZER were engaged by the Owners and entered into LOF SCOPIC Salvage Agreement shortly after the incident occurred. A dutch based GSC SCR was then appointed and mobilized to the site immediately.
MV JOHN MILLER
GSC has been appointed by the Owners to organize an inspection of the wrecked vessel, which is located in the Cape Verde Islands.
MV EASTERN AMBER
The vessel sank finally on the 13th of April. GSC is presently assisting owners in organizing a survey of the wreck site.
