MV APL DENVER | Collision Pasir Gudang, Malaysia
MV APL DENVER
Whilst at anchor near the port, the vessel was struck in one of her Fuel Oil Tanks by MV WAN HAI 301 on the 3rd of January. Part of the content released into the environment as well as inside the adjacent located Cargo Hold. Both vessel could be brought alongside the Johor Port Container Terminal the next day, where further stabilisation works were conducted. The H&M Underwriters of the APL DENVER appointed a GSC Salvage Consultant to assist them. T&T Salvage Asia was contracted to install a fixed oil barrier on the outer hull and to skim the oil inside the Cargo Hold. The vessel was subsequently shifted to a dry dock facility in Singapore for permanent repairs.
