MV BEST PESCADORES | GSC SCR Appointment, in aftermath of typhoon DAMREY
The bulk cargo on board the vessel shifted due to severely deteriorating sea state conditions caused by typhoon DAMREY. The list increased to about 18 degrees and Owners decided to engage Nippon Salvage by agreeing to a LOF salvage agreement. A Singapore based SCR was appointed and immediately mobilised to the site. Salvors managed to rectify the list and the vessel could continue her voyage.
MV JBB YU HANG 258 | Dredger capsized off Batu Pahat, Malaysia
The vessel reportedly capsized near the Traffic Separation Scheme in Melaka Straits and remained afloat, whilst all crew managed to timely disembark. Singapore based Salvors SMIT Salvage were appointed by the Owners to tow the vessel nearer to the coast and further stabilise her. A Singapore based GSC Salvage Consultant was engaged by the P&I Insurers to assist Owners with the tender process for the salvage operation
MV TOUSKA | Grounded in Hong Kong waters
Whilst transiting through the Hong Kong waters on her way to Shenzhen a black out occurred and the vessel grounded with the her bow area on Magazine Island, located in the Lama Channel. GSC was appointed by the Owners and their P&I Club, however the vessel could be refloated during the next high water and no further assistance was required.
MV SCI RATNA | Sunk at Bombay High
Reportedly water entered into the machinery spaces and the vessel sank in a water depth of approximately 80 meters and about 90 Nm off the Indian west coast. All crew members could be timely rescued. A GSC Consultant was appointed by the P&I Club to assist them.
