Motor Yacht STOLI | aground at Corsica
Whilst on the way from Sardinia to Saint-Tropez, the yacht went aground and started to take water. The Skipper decided to beach her and requested for salvage assistance. A GSC Senior Salvage Consultant from The Netherlands office was immediately mobilised to assess the situation and advice the P&I Club regarding the steps to be taken. The yacht was refloated and towed to Propriano port, where she was handed over to her Owners.
MV EASTERN AMBER | Deep sea oil recovery operation
Four years after the vessel sunk, Owners engaged Nippon Salvage to conduct an oil removal operation. The operation was spilt in two phases, whereby the first was focussed on clearing debris, such as fishing nets from around the wreck and the second phase consisted out of the actual removal of the accessible remaining oil inside the wreck. A GSC Salvage Consultant from Singapore was mobilised and attended both phases.
