Brief description of events: Whilst on the way from Sardinia to Saint-Tropez, the yacht went aground and started to take water. The Skipper decided to beach her and requested for salvage assistance. The yacht was refloated and towed to Propriano port, where she was handed over to her Owners.

Brief description of events: The casualty dragged anchor and beached on a breakwater. Owners contracted Greek Salvors Mega Tugs and signed a LOF salvage agreement. Salvors immediately invoked the SCOPIC Clause and managed to refloat the casualty and delivered her safely alongside.

Brief description of events: The vessel, whilst on her way from Hamburg to Casablanca, encountered a cargo fire. Despite firefighting efforts of the crew and tugs in the vicinity, the casualty became engulfed in flames and subsequently sunk to a water depth of about 4,700 meters. Owners entered into a LOF salvage agreement with Salvors Ardent, whom invoked the SCOPIC Clause.

2019-01-13 - MV STAR CENTURION
Brief description of events: The casualty became involved in a collision with MT ANTEA and incurred collision damages. The crewmembers decided to abandon and were reportedly rescued shortly afterwards. As a result of water ingress, the casualty lost its stability and subsequently capsized in relative shallow waters, about 10 Nm north of Pulau Bintan, Indonesia.

Brief description of events: The vessel encountered a cargo fire whilst in transit from Shekou to Singapore. Salvors Ardent were contracted and signed a LOF salvage contract with the Owners. Once the fire was under control the casualty could proceed to Singapore where all containers were discharged in the Brani Terminal.

Brief description of events: Whilst inbound on the Escravos River for Wari Port, Nigeria, and laden with a cargo of wheat, the vessel collided with MV ARVIKA. As a result of the collision the vessel encountered a flooded cargo hold and subsequently grounded. Owners entered into a LOF salvage agreement with Greece based Salvors Five Ocean Salvage, whom invoked the SCOPIC Clause. A SCR from the dutch GSC office was mobilised to the site to assist.

2018-01-06 - MT SANCHI
Brief description of events: The vessel collided with MV CF CRYSTAL whilst transiting through the East China Sea, about 130 Nm East from Shanghai. Both vessels caught fire and whilst the crew of the CF CRYSTAL managed to abandon safely, the SANCHI became engulfed in flames minutes after impact resulting in the loss of live of 32 crewmembers. Owners signed a LOF contact with Shanghai Salvage, whom invoked the SCOPIC Clause. Despite firefighting efforts, the vessel sank eight days after the incident occurred on the 14th of January.
